Xiaohui Wang is an associate professor with School of Mechanical Engineering, University of Science and Technology Beijing. She received her PhD degree from Department of Computer Science and Technology, Tsinghua University in 2014 under guidance of Prof. Lianhong Cai.
Research
I’m currently working on multimedia, social networks, affective computing, and visualization. These works are mainly in following aspects: (I) emotion related modeling in image social networks, such as studying emotions of images and modeling emotion influence; (II) emotion based image processing, including emotion based image search, affective image adjustment and affective image colorization; (III) data visualization, for example, visualization of Emotion Distribution based on 1.2 million Flickr images; (IV) 3D and 2D talking Avatar; (V) integrating computer science into art design, such as user studies, interation based eye tracker.
